Club Meeting
October 2, 2019 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 am
Join us Wednesday morning, October 2, 2019 at the Shoreline Community College PUB. Our meeting starts at 7:00 AM with breakfast and camaraderie; our formal program (see below) starts at 7:30 AM.
Program: Justice and Soul Foundation
The challenges that young people face throughout the world are some of the most heartbreaking. Rotarians and Rotary partners around the globe are making a difference in the lives of vulnerable youths through education, food and water projects. But what happens when young people can not make a living, or are scammed and used by criminals for nefarious purposes? The lives of these youths are often destroyed and lost to a horrible fate. A unique and practical program has been developed by former Shoreline Breakfast Rotary member Matthew Fairfax, who is the owner of the James Alan Salon and co-founder and chair of the Justice and Soul Foundation. Matthew’s foundation helps young people being exploited by the sex trafficking trade by giving them a lifelong skill that they can use to make a living and get out of the cycle of abuse and poverty. Ask a friend or business associate to come and hear about the great success of Matthew’s vision turned into the reality of saving the lives of many.
