Speaker Topic: Rotarian Malaria Partners

Rotarians have long been champions of eradicating polio in the world. We have been closing in on polio for a number of years, and the world is 99% free. An “Endgame Strategy” has been put in place, and soon, we will be 100% free of polio. Now, Rotarians are taking up the call to end Malaria, a disease that infects 214 million people per year, and kills over 450,000 annually. Rotarian Malaria Partners (RMP) is a relatively new organization started right here in Seattle whose mission is to ignite an international Rotarian campaign for the global eradication of Malaria. The Board of RMP includes Ezra Teshome, our Past District Governor, 2013-14. RMP board member Jim Moore (Seattle 4 Rotary) and Bill Feldt (Federal Way Rotary) will speak about the fight to end malaria, and the Rotarian Malaria Partners role in that.
